Living in a sustainable manner and working in balance with Mother Nature, is fast becoming humanities top priority.  If we are to continue to strengthen and succeed with this movement, we must each individually and collectively examine, consider and reconsider our old ways of living.        

The textile and fashion industry makes up a diverse and competitive world, so perhaps it’s not surprising that this industry harbour some of the most environmentally damaging techniques.

As a textile designer I feel it is my duty to apply ‘responsible’ design to the textile and fashion world. My fabric collections are woven from eco-sustainable yarns such as hemp and bamboo.  The fabric is locally woven and finished in Huddersfield, significantly reducing the collections carbon footprint.
